USS Farallones NCC-2562/01

San Francisco Task Force

49th MSG Marine SARThe Farallones is an Aerowing Atmospheric Craft also stationed on the USS Golden Gate and commanded by the OIC of the 49th Medical SAR, at the discretion of the CO of the USS Golden Gate. Similar to the Alcatraz, the Farallones is capable of both atmospheric and interstellar travel at speeds of up to warp 3, and it is also an upgraded version of the Starfleet runabout platform, providing a 450% increase in atmospheric flight and hover endurance compared to standard shuttlecraft. It has a crew capacity of four and is considered the forerunner to the Delta Flyer. The Farallones' missions include independent warp flight operations, protecting the mother ship, conducting extended planetary landing and reconnaissance tasks, and carrying out crew evacuation.
