USS Newfoundland NCC-1196

San Francisco Task Force

USS Golden Gate Lions CadetsThe USS Newfoundland is a Bonaventure Class Cruiser and houses the Cadet Corps of the 49th MTU Training School. It accepts cadet applications for ages 5-17 who have a love for Star Trek.

The NX and Daedalus classes' refit programs in the 2170s and 80s offered valuable insights for incorporating UFP member technology. The Saladin-class was the first to use "pan UFP" design but suffered from conceptual shortcomings, including being underpowered. It served as a support vessel for almost 80 years, but the Bonaventure-class became the flagship class due to its superior design approach.
